Backstory and CR Meme
With the addition of a few Hargreeves and some other groups that may know one another, we thought it'd be a good idea to have a post for plotting and CR building before we start the game.
Below are some examples of information that you can include, though you are not required to answer every question. Feel free to provide as much or as little as you'd like about your character and to copy and paste from your Character Info post if necessary.

Would they have kept in touch with the others? Is there anything about the past that you want to establish for your character?
The Present: What does your character do for a living? Where do they live and how well do they live? Do they have a significant other? Do they have a family of their own? Are they open with their abilities or do they hide them from those close to them or their community?

- October 1, 1989 - 43 women around the world give birth simultaneously, despite none of them showing any sign of pregnancy until labor began.
- October 1989 - September 1990 Eccentric billionaire, Reginald Hargreeves, tracks down and adopts 13 of these children and establishes the Umbrella Academy.
- 1993 - Reginald Hargreeves creates Grace to be "Mom" to the Umbrella Academy.
- 1993-2002. Reginald trains, experiments on and studies the children. He separates them into two teams based on usefulness. Team A is Numbers 1 - 6. Team B is Numbers 8 - 13. Number 7 is not assigned to either team.
- September 2002 - The first exposure of the Umbrella Academy as superheroes to the public. Reginald Hargreeves selects Team A for a mission to stop a bank robbery. Number Five vanishes before his fourteenth birthday.
- 2007 - Ben Hargreeves is killed while on a mission. Shortly after, Diego is the first to leave the Umbrella Academy.
- 2007-2014 - The Umbrella Academy disbands as all members, except Luther Hargreeves, leave it to pursue their adult careers and lives.
- 2014 - Vanya Hargreeves writes a tell all book about the Umbrella Academy.
- 2015 - Luther Hargreeves is gravely wounded while on a solo mission and nearly dies. Shortly after he leaves for a long-term mission on the moon.
- March 22, 2019 - Sir Reginald Hargreeves dies under mysterious circumstances.
- March 24, 2019 - Number Five returns saying that the world will end in twelve days.
Premise
On October 1, 1989, 43 women around the world give birth simultaneously, despite none of them showing any sign of pregnancy until labor began. Thirteen of the children are adopted by eccentric billionaire Sir Reginald Hargreeves, and turned into a superhero team through what he calls "The Umbrella Academy". Hargreeves gives the children numbers rather than names but they eventually are named by their nanny robot mother, Grace.
The other thirty children born that day under these unusual circumstances were either raised by their families, given to others or abandoned by their unprepared mothers. Thirty years later, with a few exceptions, most of these children have grown into adults possessing special skills and abilities.
This gpsl is an AU version of the events in the Netflix series, The Umbrella Academy. Plot points will be altered in order to allow for a larger cast and may be revamped entirely. This story is about one family saving the world from themselves and the others like them. It will begin with the death of Reginald Hargreeves and pick up with the adult characters at that point. There will be posts available for telling stories at different points in the timeline, such as when they were younger.
